A Brief Hiatus

I just wanted to pop in and let you know I’ll be away from my blogs for a bit.  I am building a website for our road association and it’s taking up my spare time right now.

I’ll be back soon!

Quality Products

It occurred to me the other day that I have never ordered any of my own products that I’ve created on Zazzle.  So, I decided it’s about time I should.  I absolutely love the way my new Country Roses product line looked online, but was curious to know if they would be as nice on the actual product, so I ordered the coffee mug and let me tell you, I was gobsmacked!  It is prettier in real life than it is on the site, and of course, prettier than it is in this photo.  I am now satisfied that the quality of Zazzle’s products are second to none.

Zazzle on the Fritz

Zazzle is going through an upgrade process in which they are adding new features and fixing bugs.  One of the problems that has come up during this process is that…intermittently….. no products are showing in our stores.

It’s been really bad the last couple of days and is very frustrating.  Especially when I just created two new product lines that I really love and want to get out there to all of you.  It’s pretty crappy when you promote things that people can’t get to.  They say this could go on for a week or so.  What????  I left CafĂ© Press for this very reason  They had problems that lasted for weeks on end.  I hope this isn’t a repeat of that.

So, whenever Zazzle gets thing straight, You will be able to see my newest product line called “Sweet Daisy”.  Here is a sneak peek.  This will be coming in several colors as well. Here’s the vintage aqua and I’m doing working on a pink and purple variation.

New Vintage Country Roses Collection

A couple of weeks or so ago, I went out blog hopping and I ran across 4 different blogs with posts or pictures about some dishes that are just to die for.  I can’t remember who had them, but I remember what they looked like.  I had a burst of inspiration today when I was thinking about those dishes.  I used that inspiration to create some items for my Zazzle store.  These aren’t an exact copy of those dishes, but a similar style and feel.

I plan to have loads more fun with this design!  There are a lot more products that I plan to put this on.

I’ve only got one update today, but I wanted to get this out there, because I think this card is so beautiful!  If your business involves anything bridal, this might be a wonderful card for your business.  If you sell vintage gowns, handmade bridal bouquets, favors or anything wedding related, this card will work in any of those situations

Some Great New Stuff

Sorry I haven’t posted in a minute.  I was on vacation last week and doing a little home improvement.

I’ve created a new greeting card with a matching stamp using the most beautiful rose print called “Ophelia Roses”.

I also finished up a series of silver necklaces.  They are monthly birth flowers featuring my original Pettibone Bears.  Here’s a sample.

Day One-Moving In

You would have thought that I'd have a blog for my graphics business way before now, considering that I've been selling graphics online since 1999.  No telling why I didn't do it before, but I suspect it's because I was too busy dabbling in unproductive online ventures.  I did eBay...am currently doing Etsy...and meandered off into various other online markets looking for a way to make a little extra cash.  And let's be honest, most of us are here for just that.  Money making opportunities.  I dream of working from home and doing what I love.

I broke the most important rule when it comes to being a self employed entrepreneur...."do what you know".  Took me long enough, but I'm an artist, and that's what I know best.  I do know how to sew and do other crafty things, but art is what I know best and I'm an instant gratification type of gal to boot.  Digital graphics not only feed my creative drive, but they're the gift that keeps on giving.  You can use them over and over again and profit from them in a bunch of ways.  If I sew a bag and sell it, it's over...done..finished....and I have to start again.  In this economy, people are pinching pennies and for the time I put into something like that, I get very little in return.  Slavery was abolished long ago.

Anyway...

Let me get on to what this blog is all about.  I am the owner of PollyannaGraphics.com and that is where I have been selling my wares for many years.  It's in disarray right at the moment, but I am doing some major renovating and changing the scope of the site. For all of the aforementioned years, I was only doing web page graphics collections, page sets and small bits for blogs, etc..  Sales began to dwindle and I thought I needed to find other things to do, when all I really needed to do was apply my artwork to other products.  That's when I found Zazzle.

Define: zazzle

"Zazzle is an online retailer that allows users to upload images and create their own merchandise (clothing, posters, etc), or buy merchandise created by other users, similar to CafePress.com or Propellshops.com, as well as use images from participating companies such as The Walt Disney Company. Users are allowed to open their own shop for free and set the profit they wish to make on each item (Royalty)." ~Wikipedia

So, I found a fresh outlet for my creativity as well as some new found inspiration.  You tend to lose interest and things get stale when you do the same thing for too long.

So, that said...I have two shops at Zazzle and here they are.

The actual Pollyanna Graphics website is being used for affiliate purposes in addition to selling my own products.  I was going to close the graphic collection pages, but with some prodding and begging by some of my customers, I decided to keep those things available in case someone wants to use some of it.  Doesn't hurt anything being there.

I'm getting long here, but I wanted to give you the gist of what this blog is about.  I'll be adding pictures and links to all the great stuff I have on offer, so check back again!
